Starting Your New Business in Malaysia

Updated: Mar 29

1. Name Search

The first step to incorporate a new company in Malaysia is to conduct a name search. Its purpose is to determine whether the proposed company name is available.

2. Incorporation Documents

Incorporation documents must be prepared and submitted to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) no later than 30 days after receiving the approval for the proposed company name. Failing of which will result in having to go back to the previous step and conduct a new name search.

3. Certificate of Incorporation

A successful submission ends with receiving notice of registration from the CCM. Your company is then ready to operate.
